NALYCHEVO VALLEY

The wide valley of the Nalychevo River is located to the north from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky beyond the Avachinsky Group of Volcanoes.

coordinates: N53.50917º, E158.75924º

In the south it is surrounded by five volcanoes of the Avacha Group, in the north - the Zhupanovsky and the Dzendzur volcanoes, in the west - the Ivulk Ridge with the extinct Kupol (Dome) and the Vershinsky volcanoes. These rocky giants, covered by glaciers and snow fields spots and towering above for 2,5-3 km, make the valley more beautiful.

The extinct volcanoes with hot depths caused the formation of several hot springs groups along the earth crust cracks. They are different in temperature, water discharge, and appearance, but are close chemically. Three groups - the Nalychevo, the Goryacherechenskiye (Hotriver) and the Zheltorechenskiye (Yellowriver) Hot Springs - are located at the boarder of the Bear tundra, another three groups - the Talovskiye, Shaibninskiye and the Kraevedcheskiye Hot Springs - are located to the north.

The Nalychevo Valley Base is located in this picturesque valley rich with thermal springs, in the west of the Bear Tundra.
